In damp changeable conditions (at least 2 rain showers) and facing an annoying south westerly wind, five intreprid club members took on the Kent VTTA 50 down on the very flat Romney Marsh course Q50/11.
Sadly, Francine was victim to a electro/mechanical issue with her gearing (stuck in a very low gear), she gave it a go but 120rpm for 2 hours was not going to work, so she gave up. Angela also had an issue with her bars dropping gradually through her ride, especially on the rutted section towards Lydd.
However despite all this, Domie, Jools and Angela all posted personal bests for the distance. I’m sure we’ll all be back next season for another try !
